It's not a large tab site, but it's a very good one, designed for beginners on the guitar. Bob's site has one of the most detailed, easy to read explanations I've seen on how to read guitar tab, and the site, overall, is a perfect place to just pick up your guitar and start getting familiar with reading tab notation. The selection of songs is good too, with everything from Air on the G String to Music Box Waltz and House of the Rising Sun. This personal page belonging to Alan Chan hosts a collection of his classical piano favorites with links to MIDI files. A few of these 'favorites' include free sheet music by Mozart, Bach, and Liszt. The sheet music is provided in Power Point format, however, which is a bit unusual. You'll need to download the free power point viewer (available from Microsoft) to see them. We recommend you skip all this however, and go directly to the much more interesting selection of Chopin sheet music as arranged by Leopold Godowsky, who sought to rework Chopin's Etudes into more eclectic, and more difficult, arrangements. Instrumentation is primarily piano, violin, viola, flute and cello with a few others thrown in for good measure. There's a ton of music to choose from, including Bach, Beethoven, Bruckner, Schubert, and many, many others. The sheetmusic is available free for download, most of which is in *.gif or *.pdf format. While the size and organization of the site makes it a bit or a chore to sort through (particularly if you're looking for one particular instrument), the large and interesting catalog makes it worth the effort.
